Success Out Of School
At Wren Park, we love to celebrate our children’s achievements both in and out of the classroom. Our Success Out of School initiative shines a spotlight on children who have excelled in a wide range of areas, including sports, music, dance, drama & performing arts, faith-based activities, literature, involvement in community groups such as Beavers and Rainbows or even appearing on the news for a special achievement. We also want to recognise achievements in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths), public speaking & debating, volunteering & charity work, outdoor & adventure activities, and even entrepreneurship & innovation. Whether it’s winning a trophy, passing a music or dance exam, excelling in a competition, earning a new martial arts belt, participating in a theatre production, or making a difference through charity work, we want to celebrate these fantastic accomplishments. Children’s successes will be proudly shared in our assemblies and displayed in school to inspire others and recognise their dedication and hard work. If your child has achieved something special outside of school, we’d love to hear about it!
If you would like to share your child's success story with us, please email admin@wrenpark.derby.sch.uk. Let us know what your child achieved, include a photo if possible, and confirm if you are happy for us to share their success on this webpage.

Zoha and Milad
Zoha and Milad went on a field trip to the Normanton/Peartree Food Bank as part of their Islamic Studies module 'Zakat' (one of the five pillars of Islam). They met a food bank volunteer who gave an insightful talk. The children also met an asylum seeker who shared his story and struggles.
Both Zoha and Milad donated child-friendly food items because they were told that the food bank does not receive any snacks and treats for children. After this experience, Zoha and Milad would like to help out at the Food Bank.
*Zakat is the Arabic word for "Giving to Charity" or "Giving to the Needy"
